To those who can't sleep at night
Something many people experience at some point...
・Constantly busy with work, household chores, and childcare, with no time to rest.
・Mind filled with worries about relationships and the future.
・Can't sleep because worries don't disappear in bed and keep thinking.
・Start looking at my phone and realize it's the middle of the night...
Have you also had such painful experiences?
In the first place, Japanese people don't get enough sleep compared to the rest of the world.
Like this data, I was one of those who had short sleep hours.
On the nights I couldn't sleep...

My family home is a Buddhist altar shop established 113 years ago.
Busy from morning till night with work, childcare, and community activities, I don't have the luxury of facing my own feelings.
"Is this the right way for me to live?"
"How long will this busyness continue?"
Such thoughts never left the back of my mind.
And then, many sleepless nights followed, with thoughts about work, family, and tomorrow swirling in my head.
Then one night, I suddenly tried burning incense before going to bed.
(Being a Buddhist altar shop, incense was close at hand.)
As I calmed my mind while smelling the fragrance, the everyday busyness and mental fuzziness surprisingly lightened up.
After burning the incense, I surprisingly slept soundly.
I think I was able to organize my thoughts and enter a relaxed state.
From that experience,
"If there was an incense that was more supportive of 'sleep'..."
I thought, and decided to make it myself.
Actually, many people dislike the smoke from incense,
・Clothes get scented
・Smelly, smoky
・Scary to light on fire
etc.
The reality is that society literally "shies away" from smoke.
In fact, I heard similar comments from customers and family.
Then I thought, if there was an incense that was "low smoke," "made from natural ingredients," and had a "calming scent," —an incense that combined these three qualities— perhaps it would be accepted?
From there, I went through repeated prototyping.
Over a year. After more than 100 prototypes, I
invented incense for sleep.
It's not widely known, but general commercially available incense sometimes contains
・Petroleum-derived fragrances
・Fragrances designated as poisonous substances
・Mold inhibitors
・Chemical glues
・Colorants
Such irritants may be used, but legally, there is no problem.
In contrast, I developed a recipe that does not use any colorants, petroleum-derived fragrances, mold inhibitors, or chemical glues.
I adhered to three key principles.
・Uses only ingredients safe enough to eat
∟Because I want my family to use it with peace of mind.
・Special blend to minimize smoke
∟Easy to breathe, not bothersome even in the bedroom.
・Box designed to be an incense burner itself
∟No tools needed, ready to use immediately. I wanted to lower the barrier to relaxation.
The name of the product is...

"ZENCOCORO"
At the end of the day, gently calms the mind. To provide a calm mind, like Zen, even for a brief moment of burning incense amidst a busy daily life.
I named it with the desire to deliver such a time.
The subtle, gentle scent eases the deep tension in the heart.
Recommended for those who:
・Can't sleep because their mind won't stop racing at night
・Want to relax before sleep, but are bothered by incense smoke
・Want to use it safely even in a bedroom with children or family
・Are looking for a more natural and gentle scent
Comes with a patented incense burner
Worried about using fire with incense? Don't have an incense burner?
No need to worry.
The "ZENCOCORO" box comes with a patented incense burner.
It's easy to use.
①Light the incense
②Place it on the fireproof mat
③Place the included clip on top (to adjust burning time)
You can adjust the burning time by using the included clips.
The metal clip extinguishes the flame where it touches the incense, allowing you to easily control the time if you don't want to burn the whole stick.
For example, if you feel like burning it for just 15 minutes today, just place the clip.
Furthermore, it produces little smoke, so it won't disturb your sleep.
We aimed for one-tenth the smoke of traditional incense so it can be easily used in a studio apartment.
Since it produces significantly less smoke than regular incense, it won't disturb your sleep or the sleep of family members sharing the room.

In fact, I also tested it in the bedroom with my wife, 3-year-old daughter, and 6-year-old son.
The children were not bothered by the smoke and "slept soundly."

Cleaning up after use is very easy.
Just flip it over above the trash can to clean it completely, without getting your desk dirty.
Achieved crowdfunding goal
In the crowdfunding campaign conducted at the time of launch, we received support from many people and achieved 900% of our goal!

Furthermore, 85.2% of respondents to our survey reported experiencing positive effects.

The effort of over a year and more than 100 prototypes paid off.
Even after the crowdfunding ended, many people continue to purchase it!

It has the effect of reducing excess smoke without interfering with the fragrance. All materials used other than the fragrance, such as the binder and materials to maintain the scent, are only those used in food products.
Perhaps a world first.
I haven't researched it, but I believe that low-smoke incense specialized for sleep environments is probably a world-first attempt.
